Jape & Liars added to June line up
JAPE will be making an overdue return to the Roisin Dubh on June 6th to launch his long awaited and highly anticipated new album. On June 23rd, fresh from their tour supporting Radiohead, LIARS are back after three years! Whoo Hoo!

Tom Baxter re-scheduled!
Unfortunately Tom Baxter has had to postpone all his dates due to acute due to laryngitis. He has rescheduled for June 24th. All tickets are still valid for this show. Here is his official press release

"Tom Baxter has been ordered by his doctor that he is unfit to perform at present due to acute laryngitis which has caused him to temporarily loose his voice.

Tom Baxter has commented on the rescheduling of his Irish Tour dates and has said that he is "Gutted! - To all of you who have bought tickets.... I send you my apologies for postponing the shows. I want to give it my best and I am unfortunately not 100%. I will be back on my feet A.S.A.P making music to temper your worries and illuminate your soul - I promise! - love TB'"

Evan Dando celebrates re-release of Ray with a Galway show
To celebrate the re-release of The Lemonhead's magnificent It's A Shame About Ray, Evan Dando will be coming to the Roisin Dubh on May 25th as part of a short Irish tour. Tickets are on sale now!!!

Stiff Little Fingers!!!
2007 marked S.L.F.’s 30th year in the music business and their ongoig plans include extensive touring (including probably a last chance to hear the majority of the band’s debut album played live !), a new album & a movie on the band directed by Don Letts including live footage & many interviews with the band, friends & fans. And a little jaunt to the Roisin on June 14th!

The Notwist!
It's been six years since the German electronic indie pop outfit The Notwist released the astonishingly good album, Neon Golden. At long last, their new album, The Devil, You + Me, which collects 11 tracks and features collaborations with the Andromeda Mega Express Orchestra, among other sonic wonders, will be out in May. They play Roisin Dubh on June 8th as part of their European tour. Yay!

Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Saul Williams & Silver Jews confirmed for Roisin Dubh in May
That's right! Tickets for non-members go on sale on Thursday for Black Rebel Motorcycle Club's show in the Roisin Dubh on May 13th. Members can pre-book online. Expect demand to be very high.....Alsom Saul Williams, whose last show was one of our favourite EVER, is back on the 14th of May and Silver Jews swing by on the 15th!

In Love With Detail by Delorentos is the Roisin Dubh Album of the Year for 2007 and the gig of the year goes to BATTLES for their superb show at Strange Brew in August! Hurrah!

Jonathan Richman in May!
While he may feel that he's just coming to grips with the recording medium, the records that Jonathan Richman has made over the past 30 years have long held a special place in the hearts of his fans. He began playing guitar at the age of 15, and in the early 1970s formed the Modern Lovers, whose raw, minimalist sound and emotionally forthright songs helped to lay the groundwork for punk rock. But by the time the group's landmark debut album (including the much-covered 'Road Runner,' a Top Five single in Europe) was released in 1976, Jonathan had already moved on to a quieter sound and a gentler lyrical focus. Since then, he's continued to record and tour prolifically, first with a series of Modern Lovers lineups, later on his own, and eventually as a duo with drummer Larkins. Over the years, Jonathan's music has absorbed a multitude of influences, from doo-wop to country to a variety of international styles, without sacrificing the artist's effervescent personality.
