Citóg Records presents a night of music by three of Galway's most renowned singer-songwriters.
**Dylan Murphy & The 40ft Women**
Dylan Murphy is a Limerick-born, Galway-based songwriter. Over the last decade he has honed his performance skills by playing wherever he happens to end up, ranging from rooftop fiestas while living in Andalusia to bars in Northern Vietnam to Canadian music festivals located not too far from the arctic circle.
Heavily influenced by songwriters such as Tom Waits and Randy Newman as well as blues folk troubadours such as Rory Gallagher and Jack White, Dylan sings wryly intricate songs with a distinct growl and a strong focus on melody.
“The songwriter has made a name for himself performing self-penned songs that hold more honesty than a confessional booth and more urgency than a getaway car.” (JOE.ie)
Sci-fi/surf pop specialist Eoin Dolan creates music on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean in Galway, Ireland. To date, he has released two critically acclaimed full length albums and three EPs. Dolan has performed twice at the prestigious Hard Working Class Heroes Festival as well as a host of tours across Ireland, UK and Iceland
“Makes eerily majestic psych-pop imbued with incredible individuality, matching Syd Barrett’s cracked style against Brian Wilson’s pristine pop.” (Clash)
Jack Lee and his brother Sam first discovered the value of harmony at a very young age, singing Paul Simon songs and Colgate jingles on a back yard swing. From then they were hooked and dove deeper into Simon & Garfunkel, The Everly Brothers and any good example of harmony they could get their hands on.
This set the foundation for all of Jack's original writing, giving his music a very obvious focus on melody and emotion. Between the duo's work and his own work, he has been honing his craft for years and his live performances say it all.
