The Clockworks have a strong, punchy dynamic, and brilliantly blend intense post-punk music with snarling kitchen sink observations.
Having been signed to Alan McGee’s record label ‘Creation23’ immediately after their move to London, the quartet already have a brilliant array of live gigs under their belt, with festival appearances at Body and Soul, Electric Picnic, the Galway International Arts Festival, as well as Brighton’s much admired new-music-championing ‘Great Escape Festival’.
Along with this, the band have made way into radio, so far appearing on SiriusXM, Alan McGee’s very own show @ Boogaloo Radio, and even having their track played over the ‘Goals of the Week’ on Sky’s esteemed Soccer AM – along with many more!
“The best rehearsal I have seen since the 90s with Oasis is The Clockworks. What a band…” – Alan McGee
(Oasis, Primal Scream, Jesus & Mary Chain)
“Their music and stage presence is reminiscent of The Clash & Madness. A heavy beat contrasted with
bouncing lyrics – their tracks are clever and memorable." – This Feeling
“The Clockworks are turning into one of Galway’s biggest success stories… they’re a gritty, honest, energetic punk band.” – This Is Galway
The way they’re headed, they’ll need to be caught quick, and with brand new tracks in the pipeline, plus more gigs coming up in 2019, this is a brilliant event to catch an upcoming band, who flourish in
a live environment, before they take off.
