We're delighted to be launching Galway Loves Music this month as we expand our Loves Music series of events throughout the country. Galway Loves Music is a collaborative venture between First Music Contact and the Róisín Dubh in Galway and follows on from our Cork Loves Music and Limerick Loves Music initiatives. The aim of Galway Loves Music is to introduce new avenues of discussion for music makers and fans alike, while providing a forum for planning, listening, debate, and most importantly, talkin' music.

The inaugural Galway Loves Music will feature an evening of discussion and performances in the Róisín Dubh on Monday, April 23rd. Kicking off at 7pm, this is a chance for musicians in the Galway area to come and meet some of the local and national voices who will share their knowledge of how music works.

Speakers on the night will include Alan Swan, director of music content at RTÉ 2FM, David Boland from Citóg Records, Gugai MacNamara from the Róisín Dubh / Strange Brew Records and First Music Contact CEO, Angela Dorgan. There'll also be performances on the night from Oh Boland, Tracy Bruen and The Clockworks.

Admission is free but booking is required. Please email [email protected] to book your place.

Angela will also be holding free consultancies during the day on April 23rd. To book a 30-minute consultancy, please email [email protected]
