The countdown is on to Bulmers Galway Comedy Festival. It kicks off on Wednesday October 24th for 6 fun-filled nights over the bank holiday weekend. Tickets went on sale just over two weeks and already, some shows are sold out. Tommy Tiernan’s show at Roisin Dubh on Friday & the newly re-opened Taibhdhearc Theatre on Wednesday are sold out and his show at The Clybaun Hotel on bank holiday Saturday is following fast behind with only 10 tickets remaining. Tommy is doing 6 shows so you still have limited choice of venues, so book now to watch the show before it's too late.
Also, don’t wait to buy tickets for Des Bishop and Reginald D. Hunter as they are also selling quickly. Des Bishop brings ‘Des Bishop Likes To Bang’ to Seapoint on Wednesday, October 24th and Reginald D. Hunter also performs one show only, at Seapoint on Saturday, October 27th

Midlake stays ahead of its own time by making music that transcends it. The Denton, Texas band's 2006 release The Trails of Van Occupanther got fans and bloggers re-evalutating dormant ancestors like Fleetwood Mac, America, Crosby Stills Nash and Young and Bread - music that has been embedded in the indie worlds unconscious (Bon Iver, Fleet Foxes, Grizzly Bear) ever since.
