Daithí is set to release his debut E.P on the 21st of February followed by an E.P launch tour with dates in Galway, Dublin, Cork and Limirick

Blissfully nerdy in his approach, Daithí uses loopstations, kaoss Pads, synthesizers, effects pedals and drum machines to create a unique and exceptional sound all centered around one instrument: the Fiddle. Some people call it post trad, others say it's Indie traditional electro math rock looped with a twist, whatever the genre the end result is energetic, loud and a damn good time.

Daithí's debut year has been a successful one, with performances in festivals such as Castle Palooza, Knockanstockan, Life and an exceptional Electric picnic set on the body and soul main stage. Throw in a performance in wembley arena to a 10,000 strong crowd, plus support slots to the XX and Dj Shadow, and it is easy to see that the capabilities of this newcomer are endless.

The Embrace E.P was recorded in the Forge Studio Galway, produced and engineered by David Phelan of The Lost Chord. True to Daithí's live style, the E.P was recorded using a looped method; each sound is a separate loop, mixed together to create a precise and melodic piece of music. The end result is energetic, catchy instrumentals, with electronic, indie and traditional irish influences rolled into each tune.

The E.P was mastered by Nilesh Patel at the Exchange in london, whose previous mastering works include artists such as Friendly Fires, The XX, Digitalism, Justice, Crystal Castles, and Daft Punk's Homework and Da Funk to mention but a few.
The recording itself consists of 7 tracks. It will be available on bandcamp.com from February 21st for the small fee of €5.00. The launch tour will see the release of the hard copies which are sure to please, as they are themed to keep the kid inside all of us entertained.
